Technoilogy has developed a system called Winterizing that allows any type of oil to be processed under the ideal cooling curve and under the most favorable conditions of temperature, time and agitation. It is necessary to use a filter aid since the latter three factors are crucial to the formation and nature of crystals. Fully automatic rotary filters are provided to separate the solid phase from the crystallized material. This procedure ensures stability at 0° for up to 48 hours. Some oils and grasses, such as palm, palm kernel, coconut and tallow oils, among others, can be deodorized and deacidified in one step due to their unique properties. Under certain circumstances it can be achieved following a very effective degumming with sunflower oil, soybean, rapeseed, corn, etc .
