Brazil has always been one of the world’s leading producers and exporters of soybeans. The country has vast agricultural land and favorable climatic conditions, which have allowed for a significant increase in soybean production over the years. Soybean exports from Brazil have continued to grow consistently, reaching record levels, and the country has indeed maintained its position as a major exporting power in the global soybean market.
Brazil’s soybean exports are particularly influenced by the international demand for plant-based proteins, mainly used in livestock feed and the food industry. Countries like China, with a large population and a rapidly expanding livestock sector, are among the main buyers of Brazilian soybean exports.
The June estimates for Brazilian shipments were 95.7 million metric tons, and the new estimate was 23.2% higher than the previous year’s total of 78.7 million metric tons, as reported on June 27th.
