The European Palm Oil Alliance (EPOA), is a business initiative created by palm oil refiners and producers.

The main goal achieved is the voluntary adoption of 93% certified sustainable palm oil for food, feed and oleochemicals in Europe.

EPOA also said a number of other sustainable palm oil initiatives have been launched in Europe, including conferences and projects for small-scale farmers.

Other achievements of the alliance, in collaboration with its partners, include social media strategies to highlight the importance of sustainable palm oil and annual monitoring reports on progress in the adoption and impact of sustainable palm oil development.

However, after a decade of promoting sustainable palm oil and major achievements, EPOA announced its dissolution as of January 1.

The Sustainable Palm Oil Choice (SPOC) platform, created by EPOA in collaboration with NGOs, palm oil refiners, traders, and representatives from the food, feed, and oleochemical industries, will continue to provide support on an individual basis for the foreseeable future.
